CODE OF CONDUCT FOR SPECTATORS

Nearly all our spectators are parents or relations. You are not paying to watch two teams battle to win an FA cup tie. You are concerned with the development of your youngster.

Enjoy being a spectator, but please encourage everybody and take note of the points listed below.

1 Set a good example
The youngsters copy your conduct and attitude.

2 Recognise sporting behaviour
Show that you appreciate sportsmanship on the field. Encouraging players to shake hands at the end of the game is just one example

3 Appreciate good football
Show that you do appreciate good skills by both teams.  Encourage players regardless of their individual ability.

4 Consider others
Even if excited by the game, remember to be considerate to other spectators - young and old.

5 Learn the Laws of Association Football
Then you will appreciate how difficult interpretation can be. Never criticise referees by shouting from the touchlines. Without the referee there is no game to watch.

6 Never using foul or abusive language or aggressive behaviour
Lower Earley Predators is responsible for your behaviour on the touchline. Don't let us down. More importantly don't let the youngsters down. Lower Earley Predators will withdraw our teams from any game regardless of the consequences should any manager believe this behaviour is occurring.

7 Never taking the Law into you own hands
The managers, coaches and match officials have been appointed to deal with all situations. Your interference will only serve to complicate matters.

8 Never be drawn into disputes
Youngsters may not understand the language being used by adults, but they are always fully aware of feelings. Arguments and expressions of disquiet will not result in a successful outcome to the game.

9 Football is a game of enjoyment for the players and spectators alike
Support your child and his team in a manner that will maintain the high standards the club expects from all its players and spectators.
